Wendy Markosky is Professor of Music at Burman University in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada and chair of the music department. (Faculty Profile)

She holds advanced degrees in organ performance and literature from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University (Bloomington, USA), where she also studied harpsichord and was a teaching assistant in the music theory department for five years. 

At Burman University Dr. Markosky teaches undergraduate courses in music history, music theory, and musicianship skills, and applied courses in organ, piano, and harpsichord. She is also organist of the university church.

Dr. Markosky performs regularly on organ and harpsichord, as soloist and collaboratively on continuo with various early music ensembles in Alberta. She is an avid promoter of both early and contemporary repertoires and has premiered several new works for organ and harpsichord.
